The Teaching Effectiveness Certificate program is designed for those interested in the field of teaching or private sector training. The courses within this certicate program provide participants with an opportunity to explore best practices in teaching and learning and apply the skills learned in a safe environment with other classmates. The certicate is comprised of five individual courses that are designed to develop essential teaching competencies.  Upon successful completion of the five courses, participants receive a Certicate of Completion.

SafeAssign, the Blackboard equivalent of TurnItIn, can be used to encourage students to identify how to properly attribute sources rather
than paraphrase or plagiarize. SafeAssign compares your submitted assignments against a set of academic papers and databases to
identify areas of overlap.

Join us on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the fifth annual P.O.N.D. silent auction in support of Early Childhood Education (ECE) student initiatives.  Items at the silent auction include assorted handmade and educational items. The auction will run from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the dining area of T Building.

The P.O.N. D Conference is presented by the students in the ECE program in partnership with the Arboretum and Centre for Urban Ecology.  P.O.N.D  focuses on connecting children with nature; the educator’s relationship to nature, design of children’s outdoor playspace, involving parents in nature education, using natural materials in early learning environments and developing relationships amongst educators, landscape and horticulture specialists and gardeners.
