Join us at the third annual Research Poster presentation presented by fourth year Criminal Justice students. The posters present the findings of their final thesis project. Topics range from community policing, student awareness levels about bullying, substance use pattern among College students, attitudes towards euthanasia, the use of Tasers by police, relationship with neighbours and how that influences fear levels about crime. Students complete a statistical analysis of the data collected and their poster will highlight these results.

LGBTQ+@ Humber is a discussion and social group for students who are "out" and who may be questioning their gender and sexual orientation. The group runs for 11 weeks at both the North and Lakeshore Campus locations, and begins January 22nd. Students do not need to sign up in advance, and can show up to as many or few sessions as they like. The group offers a confidential and supportive environment to meet other LGBTQ+ students, and is led by LGBTQ identified facilitators.
LGBTQ+ @ Humber works from an anti-oppression framework. We recognize that LGBTQ+ students face systemic oppression on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, body size, class, ability, immigration status, country of origin, culture, age and religion. We are committed to creating an environment that celebrates diversity, and challenges all forms of oppression.

Brought to you by Counselling Services, in collaboration with
Humber's Gender and Sexual Diversity Committee
