June 29 Banner Open Digital Campus (ODC) Enterprise System Upgrades

Humber’s Enterprise Systems are ready for an upgrade to continue service improvements and the student implementation!

The initial Enterprise Systems were built in October 2010 to support the Finance go-live date of April 2011. While the Finance version of the software has been frozen since go-live, the Student team has been planning and designing using more current versions. It is now appropriate to bring both Finance and Student systems in sync together.

Starting Friday, June 29 at 12pm until Tuesday morning, Banner Finance will NOT be available for users to allow dedicated time for upgrade activities. During this upgrade cycle, all components of the Banner Open Digital Campus (ODC) will be upgraded to the current levels that are compatible with each other while providing the needed functionality to support Finance and Student business cycles.

Further Communications

The ESP login page https://esp.humber.ca/ will be updated to confirm any further information about the Banner upgrade. As well, Finance stakeholders will be notified by email of the upgrades and Banner availability schedule.

Writing a test or exam requires skill and technique! In this helpful workshop, students will discuss their current approach to writing exams and what they want to improve. Looking at different types of tests (multiple choice, short answer and essay format) and identifying strategies for each of them is an important skill students can gain.

Public speaking and presentations scare many of us. In this fun workshop students learn the art of good presentation skills by looking at both verbal and non-verbal techniques. Students will get a chance to practice and receive valuable feedback.
