Have you ever wanted to create your own database? A database is much more than just a list or table. It gives you true command of your data, enabling you to retrieve, sort, analyze, summarize and report results in moments. It can help make data entry more efficient and accurate. In this two-part workshop you will learn how to design an effective database, manage database tables, and create queries, forms and reports.
This is a two part, half-day workshop that is applicable for the Admin. Professional Certificate. You must take both parts to benefit from the full learning experience and obtain credit towards the APC.

Humber Showcase 2012 - "Reflect, Connect, Inspire" Humber Showcase is an annual event devoted to sharing best practices, networking with colleagues, and renewing our commitment to excellence in education.
On May 31, 2012, at the Lakeshore Campus, we will soften the distinction between teacher and learner as we attend sessions as both facilitators and participants, gain knowledge that changes our outlooks, and view the familiar with a new perspective. It is our day to reflect, connect, and inspire.
Writing a test or exam requires skill and technique! In this helpful workshop, students will discuss their current approach to writing exams and what they want to improve. Looking at different types of tests (multiple choice, short answer and essay format) and identifying strategies for each of them is an important skill students can gain.
