Cyber Crime Specialist- New CE Certificate

Do you thrive in fast-paced environments? Are you interested in investigation, security and technology? Then this new online certificate is for you. From financial theft to child abuse, cybercrime can take many forms and the need for skilled professionals capable of tackling these problems is growing. Gain specialized skills and knowledge in an increasingly important area of criminology. This certificate introduces students to the world of cyber security, the types of attacks and techniques used by criminals to compromise information systems and the tools used to prevent attacks.

CTL: SoTL Lunch & Learn (Adam Thomas)

Eat, learn, and be inspired by faculty SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) research projects. Last semester, Adam Thomas (SMSIT) tried something innovative and new with his students: he taught them how to code using board games and Lego robots. With support from the Teaching Innovation Fund, Adam investigated the impact of this idea on his students’ engagement and learning. What did he discover? CTL: Community of Practice Leadership

In every program at Humber, we are creating our leaders of tomorrow. Whether you are teaching a leadership course or not, this community of practice will bring together faculty passionate about the leadership development of our students. Themes and topic matters to be covered will be determined by the community of practice participants. Join us for this community of practice and meet with other passionate leading faculty to share your experiences, highlights, challenges, resources, “go to” activities and best practices in building student leaders.
