CTL: Coaching Series - Teacher as Classroom Coach

Coaching in the classroom places students in the driver’s seat of their very own learning experience. This “Teacher as Coach” approach to student-centered learning can lead to transformative, deep learning and growth for our students.

This workshop will explore the role of coaching in the classroom and provide tactics and tips to get started.

Glow Spin and Glow Yoga

To raise awareness and research funds for diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Come join us for a few hours of GLOWtastic fun fitness classes in honour of Jordana Fiorini, a young girl who lost her life to DIPG.

We are asking for a minimum $1 donation to go towards DIPG cancer research at Sick Children’s Hospital in Toronto.

Open to all full-time students and staff.

Tuesday, November 15th – Studio “B” – A227

Spin: 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Yoga: 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Transgender Day of Remembrance

The Transgender Day of Remembrance is a day to memorialize those who have been lost as a result of transphobia and to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the trans community.

Join us for a short ceremony followed by a discussion in the LGBTQ+ Resource Centre (E140 North). Those who are interested in learning more about trans communities are encouraged to participate in this respectful dialogue.

Please contact LGBTQ@humber.ca with any questions/comments.
