Humber Sustainability Highlight: Forest and Nature Program Pilot

Humber is becoming a greener campus and everyone is participating! Humber Sustainability Highlights feature people and departments around the College integrating sustainable practices. This month’s focus is the Early Childhood Education program’s initiative to connect children with nature. It is universally known that when children are given the chance to play outdoors, they will take it. With that in mind, the Forest and Nature Program pilot was developed for children to foster their curiosity and build a relationship with nature.

CTL: PC Community of Practice

The PC Community of Practice events are designed to enhance communication, networking and sharing within our group of Program Coordinators. Each event will provide a forum for PCs to discuss current issues, share ideas and best practices, and generally share the incredibly rich and diverse body of knowledge within our community. Our winter 2017 meetings are an excellent opportunity for all PCs to meet Carol Appleby, our new Director of Professional Learning, Centre for Teaching and Learning.

CTL: Community of Practice Accounting

Teach accounting? Come and share ideas, best practices and talk about innovations. Be part of a collaborative community supporting student achievement.

This is an opportunity to connect with other accounting faculty from across the college and discuss common themes and ideas. Please drop in for refreshments and a chat.

All interested faculty are welcome.
