North Campus - N and NX Buildings

Start: 10 p.m. - Saturday, November 26, 2016 
Finish: 2 a.m. - Sunday, November 27, 2016 

Purpose: To install meters on College electrical infrastructure.

Location: N and NX Buildings. Backup power will be available.

Staff, faculty and students will not be allowed entry into N and NX buildings during the hydro shutdown.

Humber Arboretum Honey for Sale

From hives tucked away in the thick of the Humber Arboretum’s native tall grass meadow, the honey bees that call the Arboretum home forage throughout the forest, gardens, and wildflowers to mingle the flavours of hundreds of plants. While commercial honey is made from a range of honeys blended together for uniformity and then heated, the raw state of the Humber Arboretum’s honey preserves a local flavor that’s as unique as the landscape it came from.

Humber Research Series: Developing Your Research Design

Once you have your research question developed, you need to figure out your methodological approach. Will you use quantitative or qualitative methods? What kind of evidence will you gather, and will it help you find out what you want to know? Do you need a comparison or control group? In this session, we will explore different research designs that are commonly used in Teaching and Learning Research projects.

This is the fourth event in the Humber Research Series, jointly offered by the Office of Applied Research and Innovation and the Centre for Teaching and Learning.

CTL: Coaching Series - Teacher as Classroom Coach

Coaching in the classroom places students in the driver’s seat of their very own learning experience. This “Teacher as Coach” approach to student-centered learning can lead to transformative, deep learning and growth for our students.

This workshop will explore the role of coaching in the classroom and provide tactics and tips to get started.
