Documents and the Course User Interface: Now Updated in Blackboard

Did you know that Blackboard has updated the way documents are made in Blackboard Ultra? Using the new content designer is easy to use and available now!

Creating documents now follows a block-based pattern. You can add:

  • Content, like text, images and links,
  • HTML, for embedding non-text content and videos,
  • File Uploads, for word, PowerPoint, or pdf files,
  • Uploading from the Cloud,
  • or converting files into the document structure.

The user interface when in a course has changed too. The new design incorporates:

  • Subtle gradients and softer edges
  • A more cohesive color palette with inviting, warmer tones
  • More intuitive navigation, which reduces cognitive load and increases focus on the content

Anthology also has improved the differentiation among learning modules, folders, and content items in Blackboard Ultra because it is sometimes challenging to distinguish among these elements. Learn more about this update from Innovative Learning's Blackboard Hub page.
