I always imagined the Queen of Hearts and the Queen of Spades being so suitable for each other with the personalities I gave them and I wanted to display that in a way that showed those characters also breaking free of their social restraints by literally lifting off of the page. 2022 Sarah Young Animation-3D North Campus Email 07-03-2022 Honourable Mention

Digital Art Digitally Generated Art 8 x 12 (Width x Height) Reproduction Justin Estcourt is one of my favorite inspirational artists on Instagram. I was going through a tough time and wanted to create art that describes my struggles. That's when I came across his drawing of storming night with heavy rainfall, thundering, and a small boat struggling to make its way out. I could relate to it and also wrote a poem describing my art. It goes like this:
Our life is like a storm.
When you're in the middle of it,
you can't think outside of it.
Having great faith within,
it brings out the greatest beauty of yourself.
A clear sky and rainbow being your only hope,
loved ones being gold,
the only way to move out of it,
is to ride through it.
Eventually, you'll be surprised to see,
it's a lot clearer on the other side.

The eyes tell their own story. I wanted to show the human eye in a different sense. Something as unique as each person is. Like the eye, each person tells their own story. Other Acrylic Paint, Text/Magazine /Newspaper Content, Photo Collage 19.5 x 25.5 Original Piece I created this piece at an intersection of extreme despair and hope. I thought I had lost both myself and the person most important to me, and creating this piece was the first step toward a life where both of us were going to be okay. It is all about acknowledging the good that comes with the bad in life and vice versa, and letting the complexities and nuances of emotions shape us rather than ignoring all that is not convenient. I have juxtaposed poems made from recycled text with a variety of visuals to guide the viewer on a reflective journey through the intense pain of caring.
The artwork is a mixed media collage consisting of magazine clippings pasted on an acrylic background, framed with recycled materials.
I wrote about and showed more photographs of it on my art blog, and the post can be accessed here: https://oursdefleurs.blogspot.com/2022/02/collage-3.html

I hold the belief when someone is lonely, words do not always need to be spoken, instead, it is their company that brings enough comfort; I think pets are a wonderful example of this. Feeling stress regarding anything such as school, work, and depicted greatly here is the passing of time, is a common hardship may face and I feel it is important to take time away for self-care. I hoped to establish an image of that battle of stress being fought through the pure love brought by a companion such as a cat. 2022 Alyson Park Bachelor of Creative Advertising Lakeshore Campus Email 07-03-2022

I looked to capture the raw form of "Bryan Ghee", a musical artist out of Brampton. After getting the photo developed and scanned I took it into photoshop where I wanted to enhance the mood and aesthetic that the method of film photography and the essence of nighttime on Queen Street brought to the image. In the editing process, I drew inspiration from the eerie yet bright imagery the convenience store provided. 2021 JEREMY BOUVET Digital Communication Lakeshore Campus Social Media 07-03-2022

We're all creating the stories of our lives day by day, depending on those two choices. My story began the day I chose to evolve, I chose to accept my gift as an artist and share it with the world.

My natural gift as a nineteen year old artist has taught me that there will never be anyone like me to exist, so I aspire to evolve, to break boundaries, and to constantly keep elevating my unique identity.

I created this piece because I was feeling stuck in the "repeat" stage of my life, and there was so much chaos and creative rage built up inside me and I had to let out this energy in a safe space, and art is what makes me feel safe so I created this piece, and the I titled it "The Chao Ends Here". In that moment I felt relief.
