After talking to him for a while I asked if I could take some pictures of them. The man started feeding the dog treats and I caught him standing up. As I was descending on the escalator, the composition of leading lines and surrounding tunnel caught my eye. I took a quick picture before I reached the bottom but it came out very dark and underexposed. So this New Year's Eve I decided to witness the fireworks that would be launched. Arming myself with my phone, I roamed around the streets of Toronto, absorbing it's beauty at night, reminiscing my first 6 months here and my first New Year Celebrations in the country.
After all the fireworks had ended, I saw CN tower's reflection on a building few meters away. This is when the picture was taken.

Therefore, I thought that if these two were placed in front of the camera, it would be a powerful picture that could also capture the eyes of viewers. I wanted to create a Portrait that has a story as well as visual effects, so I added some layers of the shadows on the background that she had when posing through post production. I was scrolling through some motivational quotes and I came through a quote by Marle de Sevigne. "When I step into this library, I cannot understand why I cannot step out of it." I barely read books before and I rarely go to a library. The following day I went to a reference library and I knew why Marle quoted. That day I stayed the whole day in the library reading. As a reminiscence, I took this picture. Now I am going to a library whenever I get leisure time and read.

The urge to help my beloved Ukrainians was extreme. But we had to realize that the only thing we can do in Canada is helping financially, provide emotional support, spread awareness through social media and participate in rallies in support of Ukraine.
