He was born with severe social and language delays. He was unable to connect, communicate and engage within the norms, even eye contact was not really possible. Jack entered school as special needs non-verbal child. But as you can see he is holding your gaze in the portrait. He is what you would call a miracle. After many years of medical appointments, therapy and anguish, roughly around his 5th birthday he started to come around. He is now a completely present and engage in this world. This charming cottage style home is now filled with a group of lovely souls part of the LGBTQ+ community. I was inspired to paint this home be the warmth it holds and the beautiful tall trees that have seen and continues to witness the past and present of this area. Finally the tulip growing was very symbolic as the beginning of spring and new life, but also the deep unconditional love. The idea of mother nature taking over, her slow and quiet revenge. The idea of persistence, like a river making it's path.

With all my sketches and iterations of this bridge, the many perspectives that can be seen just by changing your viewpoint, I've learned to see the different speeds to experience the world, and how these paths merge and intersect.

I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to paint this. I've grown so much.

However, first impressions can be misleading.
When the observer takes the time to analyze what is unfolding new information can be discovered which can alter the narrative into one that closely represents the truth.
For example, a group of people whom appear to be expressing happiness could instead be reacting to something that is not immediately obvious to the viewer; something that may inspire the opposite emotion.

After finishing the review meeting about the work and what the team did, I received feedback about myself. I feel that what I contribute has not been properly recognized by some other people. As the person behind the team's projects ("backstage"), I think I need to accept misunderstandings or insults behind my back. The gossip behind other people's backs will make you stronger inside and better at your duties. It is expressed through beautiful colorful flowers but the body is thorny like needles. At the same time, the poster also wants to commend the people working behind the scenes ("backstage"). Vibrant, detailed skulls with floral decorations are displayed on this day to celebrate deceased loved ones.
