Issues Logging In?

If you are having issues logging in, for example, if you are unable to access or use the MFA method you are prompted for, please follow these steps:

  1. On the page where you are prompted for your MFA method, select the button that says, "I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now" (or similar).
  2. You will be shown a list of MFA methods that you have set up. Choose an alternate method that you have access to, to complete logging in.

For new users, download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Apple App Store for iOS or the Google Play Store for Android. The college has no access to your personal devices after you install the app.

Today is Giving Tuesday – a global movement to create a world built on generosity!

Extended society care students – also known as youth in or from foster care – are particularly vulnerable to financial barriers that heavily impact their success in school.

With a gift today, you will help remove some of the barriers for Humber’s Extended Society Care students, allowing them to focus on their studies, rather than worry about their finances. And – your donation will also show them that our community stands behind them and wants them to succeed.

Students working together with a computer on a table.

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday – an important day that represents a global movement, with the goal of creating a world built on humanity and generosity.

This year, we are once again raising funds to support extended society care students (students in or from foster care) to continue to build upon the new bursary fund that Humber created last year.

Extended society care students are particularly vulnerable to financial barriers that heavily impact their success in school.

  • Only 48 per cent of extended society care students graduate from high school. And less than five per cent graduate from post-secondary education.
  • There are currently 126 extended society care students attending Humber programs, 42 of whom are currently in foster care.

With a gift today, you will help remove some of the barriers for these students, allowing them to focus on their studies, rather than worry about their finances.

We are so appreciative of the support of our Humber community, including our very own faculty and staff. We hope we can count on you once again to make a donation to support this important initiative.

And, the good news is that in honour of Giving Tuesday, your gift will be matched to go twice as far.

Don’t miss this opportunity to make a life-changing difference today. Donate at humber.ca/HumberGives2023.

You can also visit us tomorrow, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m at North Campus (E Concourse) and on Wednesday, November 29, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lakeshore Campus (L Commons) to make your donation on site.

Occupational Health and Safety Services

Flu season is upon us! Although we are no longer in a pandemic, Public Health continues to report a high positivity rate for COVID-19, and an uptick in flu, colds and other respiratory illnesses in the province. Please stay vigilant and continue to take basic safety measures for preventing COVID and other respiratory illnesses:

  • If you have symptoms, use the provincial self-assessment tool for guidance on next steps.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Consider the use of a medical or a multi-layer mask in indoor public spaces, particularly in more crowded settings.  Humber is a mask-friendly environment; we ask that you respect the choice of others to wear or to not wear a mask.  Note that for those who test positive for COVID-19 or have COVID or other respiratory symptoms, public health guidelines indicate that masks should be used for 10 days from the start of symptoms.
  • Use good infection control practices including:
    • Wash your hands regularly or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
    • Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow.
    • Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
  • Stay current with COVID-19 and influenza vaccines to best protect yourself against serious respiratory illnesses.

The college will continue to ensure that its building ventilation systems are maintained to meet current ventilation standards. As well, daily cleaning and disinfection will continue for all spaces.

Further details can be obtained at COVID-19 Measures - Humber College.
