Humber has an amazing group of faculty and staff who go above and beyond for our students each and every day, and one important way they do this is through our faculty and staff campaign - Humber Gives. And guess what – it’s that time once again!

Each year, we ask that you go that extra mile by making a donation to help create unlimited possibilities for our students. Your support will equip them with the skills and experience necessary to become the leaders of today and tomorrow.

Make your gift online here or sign up for convenient payroll deductions here.

Every dollar truly makes a difference, and 100% of your donation impacts our students directly.

Your donation will also support Humber’s Unlimited Campaign, taking the Humber experience to the next level by:

  • investing in experiential learning opportunities, academic programs and cutting-edge technology to create the best possible experience to foster success;
  • providing critical financial support to students through scholarships, emergency funds, work-integrated learning, paid internships and study/work abroad opportunities;
  • supporting one-of-a-kind innovation and discovery through state-of-the-art facilities, our Centres of Innovation (COI) network, and applied research projects.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported Humber Gives to date! Visit humber.ca/HumberGives to learn more and to make your donation.

We are excited to announce that Humber’s Panopto Platform will be migrated to Canadian servers on Friday, January 17, 2020. There will be minimal impact to members of the Humber community.

Please read below for information with regards to how this may impact you.

  • Faculty/staff: All creator abilities will be disabled during the migration window between approximately 6 a.m. on Friday, January 17 through to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 18. This means that no videos or content may be uploaded or edited during this time. Students will not have access to your Panopto content for approximately one hour on Saturday.

  • Students: All videos or content on Panopto will be unavailable for approximately one hour on Saturday, January 18. Specific times will be confirmed closer to the migration.

  • Live Event Teams: Remote Recorders, API Keys, or RTMP Streaming will need to be reconfigured. Specific details will be confirmed closer to the migration.

What do I need to know?

  • All content will be automatically transferred by Panopto and Humber’s Panopto Support Team. No action is required on your part, before or during the migration.

  • If you have embedded your videos on Blackboard, or if you have shared content via any other means (such as e-mail), your links and embeds will continue to work after the migration.

  • During the migration, you will not be able to upload any content.

  • If you make any changes during the migration, those changes will not be transferred and will be lost.

Do I need to do anything after the migration?

Nope! You can continue to login as you normally would, unless you are using the Panopto desktop/mobile apps, or if you are part of an events team. If so, Humber’s Panopto Support Team will send out support articles closer to the migration.

Thanks,

Humber’s Panopto Support Team panopto@humber.ca

*Panopto is proudly supported by the Centre for Teaching & Learning and Humber Libraries
