A friendly reminder that the deadline for Vitrine Display proposals is this Friday, September 26th by 5 p.m. Please email tara.mazurk@humber.ca to receive an application.
Want an opportunity to share the work that you do with the Humber community? This year, Humber's L Space gallery will be launching Vitrine Displays, which are mini-exhibitions situated in glass cases around the North and Lakeshore Campuses. These displays are presented 24/7, for 4-6 week runs.
The vitrines provide a public space for Humber departments and programs to pilot a project, promote new initiatives, and/or create learning opportunities for students.
All Humber College employees who are full-time, part-time, sessional, contract and work-study students are encouraged to complete the IASR/OHRC Training, as legislated by the AODA (2005).

Hello Everyone,
As dean of the School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Humber’s Food and Nutrition Management program has once again been approved by the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management Committee with full accreditation for another five years.
The program, which focuses on health and wellness, has tremendous support from the Program Advisory Committee members, placement employers and our faculty who all have diverse and varied backgrounds, training and experiences and who are committed, passionate and genuinely interested in the FNM program and its students.
With this accreditation, the Food and Nutrition Management program will continue to help prepare our students and give them an ongoing advantage within the industry and workforce.
We thank all members of the Humber community who assisted us in this process and are proud to continue our excellent collaboration with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management. We are looking forward to watching the continued success of our graduates.Please join me in congratulating Tina Horsley and her team.

Calling all members of the #HumberGlobal community! The International Centre is looking for photos* to display at Humber’s L Space Gallery (at Lakeshore Campus) in a special exhibit called Global Lens – Student Images from Home and Abroad as part of International Education Week (IEW). The exhibit will run from Monday, November 17 – Thursday, November 27, 2014.
What are we looking for?
Send us photos that creatively show the global perspective you’ve gained through travel, study, and/or work in Canada or abroad and the value of global citizenship. Your photos should address one of the five themes:
Photo submissions must be at least 300 DPI. Photos must be 100% original content belonging to the person submitting the photo. Please also include a 50-100 word description of how the photo fits one of the five themes.

Submit your questions and photos to internationalmarketing@humber.ca. Include your name, student ID, program, and year of study with your photo, along with a 50-100 word description of how the photo fits one of the five themes.

Have you signed up for Smart Commute's Carpool Zone? We launched this program in fall 2013. On September 8, 2014, Smart Commute transitioned this ride-matching program to one called the 'Smart Commute Tool'.
All users who currently have a Carpool Zone account have been sent an email clearly outlining the steps they can take to transfer their account to the 'Smart Commute tool'.
Please make sure you transition your account so you can continue to find carpool matches to help make your commute to campus more sustainable! And with a carpool buddy or group, you can get a carpool permit and park in the new preferred spaces!
