Are you a new graduate or looking to change careers and struggling to get the job you want? Learn how to find, apply for and attain the job you want. The Kick Start Your Career workshop is divided into three, six hour sessions.

Module 2 – Customizing Your Resume & Cover Letter

  • Create a master resume that highlights relevant skills in your career of interest
  • Tailor your resume to specific job ads to generate a response
  • Learn what details recruiters are looking for when applying

  1. Increase their understanding of key Human Rights terms and concepts in order to more effectively prevent, recognize and respond to allegations
     
  2. Identify ways to enhance inclusion at Humber
     
  3. Receive an overview of Humber’s Human Rights complaints process.

To facilitate your attendance, training sessions will be offered throughout the 2011/2012 academic year.

It might seem like a daunting task, creating, editing and uploading your own videos, but the job does not have to be a difficult one and in most cases can be done rather quickly.

During this workshop, faculty and staff will learn how to shoot video using a flip camera, how to efficiently edit their footage and how to upload their finished product. Faculty will also be coached on how videos can be used in their Blackboard site and how these videos can be used as podcasts for their students, clients and colleagues.
