The Centre for Entrepreneurship will be hosting a social media information session on Thursday, February 22 and Thursday, March 29. This session, titled "Effective Use of Social Media”, will be led by a social media management professional and will explain the fundamentals of social media and its importance in business and self-promotion. Seats are expected to fill up fast, so register quickly! Both sessions will take place at the Lakeshore Campus in G Building, room G304 from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

This event is free to attend and there will be time for questions. Pizza and pop will also be provided.

You may have heard about carbs but do you know what they do in your body? What about fats? And proteins? Their roles might not be what you think. In this interactive workshop and food demo you will learn about the “Macros” carbohydrates, fats and proteins and how to balance them in your diet.

Want to do your part for our lakes and rivers? It's estimated that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish!

The Office of Sustainability and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) are organizing the first annual WWF shoreline clean up of Lake Ontario and the Humber River during Earth Week. All participants will receive a free t-shirt, swag and snacks. This is a fun event for your friends and for team building. 

Want to participate? Register on Eventbrite for the Lake or North shoreline cleanups.

Cleanup equipment will be provided, please be sure to mind your personal safety when approaching the shoreline.

R is a free open source statistical package that can be used to gather, manipulate and visualize data. This workshop will provide an introduction to the basic skills needed to begin analyzing your data.  Specifically, you will learn how to (i) enter, import, modify and visualize data and (ii) perform basic statistical procedures.

Mastering the Employment Interview
