Have a writing project you've been putting off? Come to the Writers' Collective. It's a three-hour drop-in session of quiet writing with regular breaks. Work on any writing that needs to get done. The Writers' Collective happens the second and fourth Friday of every month. No sign-up is required, although you can save a spot by clicking here.

Humber students interested in building on their diploma to earn an honours degree at the University of Guelph-Humber are welcome to attend Admit Me! on Thursday, March 22. Students are encouraged to bring their official transcripts and supporting documents for on-the-spot admission advising. Admission coordinators will meet with students to discuss their potential transfer credit, application, admission requirements and scholarships.

Accessible documents ensure that all students can access classroom materials. In this workshop, participants will discuss the importance of inclusive materials and apply the fundamentals of document accessibility using Microsoft Suite. Please bring your laptop or tablet to practice creating accessible documents.

Mindset has a fundamental impact on how people approach challenges and perceive failure. This workshop introduces Carol Dweck’s fixed and growth mindsets and explores how each affect teachers and students. Participants will leave with a better understanding of student behavior and how to give feedback that fosters the growth mindset.
