The Centre for Entrepreneurship is now in promotion mode for the CfE’s Launch Me Workshops Series and Competition. Our promotional focus is to inspire students and alumni that they have what it takes, inside of them, to succeed in anything they set your heart to! That they can pursue their dreams to be the next Mark ZuckerbergSara BlakelyArianna HuffingtonBobby FlayWarren Buffett, Bill Gates or even Steve Jobs!

Launch Me workshops are aimed to help students and alumni receive the training and skills they need to take their business idea to the next level. There are three sections for the workshop series, with topics including the Lean Canvas, Business Plan Development and Business Pitch training. These skills are directly related to the competition, which is launching January 8th, 2018. The competition requires a completed application and business plan submission, and chosen finalists are required to pitch to a live audience on April 5th, 2018 for an opportunity to receive up to $10,000 in prizes for their business.

Please note: attendance to Business Plan and Pitching workshops are mandatory to enter the competition. For students who are unable to attend, the sessions will be recorded and available online for review. Business Plan workshops are scheduled for January 17th, 24th and 31st from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Campus in G304.

For important dates and workshop schedule, please visit our website.

We are also more than happy to visit your class to provide more information to your students and encourage them to participate in the workshop and competition. Please contact Marisa Tomassi at marisa.tomassi@humber.ca to schedule a class visit.

We would greatly appreciate if you could please forward this flyer to key individuals who are engaged with aspiring entrepreneurs. Let’s keep working together as we nurture the entrepreneurship spirit across our campuses.
