Humber has just launched Ensemble Video, found at stream.humber.ca. Faculty can now seamlessly upload, manage and share their educational video
content with colleagues and students.

In this workshop, you will a chance to work with Ensemble’s built-in Amara caption editor to ensure that your videos are accessible.

Experience a guided tour with exclusive access to the tunnel system that connects the former Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital cottages. Discover the history behind the construction of the buildings and passages as well as the evolution of psychiatric care in Ontario and the role that the hospital, its staff, and patients played in our current understanding of mental health.

The Invictus Games were started by Prince Harry as an event using adaptive sporting events for wounded service men and women.

This event is to promote the Invictus Games taking part in Toronto in 2017, while providing all donations to Soldier On.

Soldier On is a program that Canadian Armed Forces that serves members and veterans to overcome their physical or mental illness or injury through physical activity and sport.

At the event you can:

  • Take part in a wheelchair basketball experience 
  • Meet Vimy the Invictus Games mascot at our photo booth
  • Pick up some cookies at our bake sale
  • Sign our flag for Team Canada at the Invictus Games

  • Develop resiliency and composure using ‘respond vs react’ strategies when dealing with provoking or intense interactions

On November 14, Humber Press will be launching two exciting new books:

  • Dante's Infinite Monkeys: Technology Meets the 7 Deadly Sins by Mike Dover (Business School) - A lively and deeply researched tour of the worst parts of our new digital utopia.
  • Drawing the Line: The How-to-Draw Book by Michael Baldwin (Applied Technology) - An intensive and fully illustrated guide to the critical art of drawing, for design/art students and instructors alike.

These books will be launched at the North Space Gallery on the ground floor of the LRC starting at 4 p.m.

Humber President Chris Whitaker will be making a few remarks at the event, as will Eileen De Courcy and the two authors.
