Join Humber's Centre for Social Innovation for a relaxing afternoon on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to explore the perfect blend of nature and flavour at our “Gardening Workshop – The Tea Experience”.

Monika (The Healing Muse) will show you how to create and customize your own herbal teas with plants you can grow yourself. You'll have the opportunity to get creative and make a tea blend, taste teas from DAVIDsTEA, take home your very own mint clipping and gift bag, and discover fun herb garden facts. A fun Kids' Corner will be available for your little ones to enjoy while you learn.

This workshop fuses together the world of gardening and the art of tea with an afternoon full of inspiration and growth. Don’t miss out on this flavourful experience.

CF Sherway Gardens is proud to partner with Humber College and the GARDENS Project, a local community initiative that educates about urban gardening and helps combat food insecurity. Community volunteers grow vegetables in raised planters throughout South Etobicoke and donate the harvest to local food programs.

First year transition programming for incoming learners with disabilities is delivered throughout the year by ALS.   

As part of this programming, Transitions To Success is a two day event held in August that provides resources and information to assist in transitioning to post-secondary studies.

In partnership with Enbridge Gas and Ontario municipalities, our FAST Continuous Professional Learning department is hosting Home Efficiency Retrofit Orientation (HERO) – a free virtual seminar for homeowners to learn how to make their home more energy efficient and reduce energy costs. 

The HERO program helps homeowners incorporate best practice energy-efficiency upgrades in home renovations that improve comfort, resilience, peace of mind, GHG reductions, and lower energy costs.

The session will provide insights on eligible rebate programs and topics including:
