Retirement planning - regional event at Seneca College on Saturday January 28, 2017

  • How much money do I need to retire?
  • How much pension will I get?
  • Is my pension secure?
  • How do I prepare for retirement?

If these questions have ever crossed your mind, you should attend the upcoming retirement planning session.

The Saturday afternoon retirement planning event will be led by Derek Dobson, pension expert and CEO of the CAAT Pension Plan. He’ll answer the questions members ask about retiring. During Derek’s presentation, you’ll learn about the Plan’s benefits, including flexible retirement date options, valuable survivor benefits, and inflation protection. The session uses real-world examples and retirement planning tips to help ensure a smooth transition to retirement.

Representatives from the CAAT Pension Plan will be available to answer your questions after the presentation.

The session is free of charge, and open to CAAT Pension Plan members from any GTA college (and their guests).

Not thinking about retirement yet?
This session will benefit members of any age, and we strongly encourage all members over 50 to attend.

How helpful is the session?
Over 90% of members who have already attended a CAAT Plan retirement planning session say they would recommend it to others. Attendees will receive a free retirement planning workbook.

An exhibit of portraits of people living with spina bifida. “Front to Back” has been a true collaboration between Kean and those he photographs. It is a path to a sense of dignity and control over what happens to those with spina bifida. Audiences for the images in this project will see the people first. People whose lives have meaning and are beautiful.

Please join us as we mark the conclusion of this remarkable exhibition by Mr. Steve Kean.

The PC Community of Practice events are designed to enhance communication, networking and sharing within our group of Program Coordinators. Each event will provide a forum for PCs to discuss current issues, share ideas and best practices, and generally share the incredibly rich and diverse body of knowledge within our community. Our winter 2017 meetings are an excellent opportunity for all PCs to meet Carol Appleby, our new Director of Professional Learning, Centre for Teaching and Learning.

Indigenous communities worldwide are struggling to protect and nurture their relationships with the living earth, ancestors and each other. Drawing on her longstanding commitment to the study of gendered colonial violence, justice and resistance, Dr. Hunt will focus attention on the body as a site and source of meaning that is central to Indigenous resurgence and the formation of decolonial movements.
