All Humber employees who have attended Humber’s human rights training session prior to August 2008, are required to attend a ‘Pathways to Human Rights Education & Action’ training session as soon as possible. This includes sessional, contract, part-time, full-time, and work-study employees.

Participants at the workshop will:

  1. Increase their understanding of key Human Rights terms and concepts in order to more effectively prevent, recognize and respond to human rights related allegations
  2. Receive resources that will assist in enhancing inclusion at Humber
  3. Receive an overview of Humber’s Human Rights Complaints Process

To facilitate your attendance, training sessions will be offered throughout the 2012/2013 academic year. Training sessions in September will also be offered on these dates:

One question away from the grand prize, Jamal is arrested under suspicion of cheating.  How could a “slumdog” with so little education possibly know so much? Through flashbacks, Jamal (Dev Patel) recalls the incidents in his life which provided him with each answer. These flashbacks tell the story of Jamal, his notorious brother Salim (Madhur Mittal), and his soul-mate Latika (Freida Pinto.)  Directed by Danny Boyle. Winner of 8 Academy Awards including Best Director & Best Picture in 2009.
