Colour Photography Digital Photography 8.5x11 Original Piece This piece was inspired by Schoolboy Q's Blankface album cover. The cover art always stuck with me with its strong use of colour, framing and use of post production to make an amalgamation of more than one photo blended into one. After taking inspiration from the cover I wanted to explore how I could blend together my own series of photos with a subject having a similar outfit as the Blankface character or entity. Colour Photography Digital Photography (w) 3.803 x 4.53 (h) Original Piece Film has always been an inspiration for my photography, especially that of the works of Wes Anderson. On one of our camping trips, my friends and I decided to hang out at the site. Two friends pulled out a chess board, and a narrative in my head began playing out as they started the game. I wanted to create the images from the perspective of an intensive chess game, cinematically and focusing on gesture, lines, and composition. I began shooting as if I was shooting stills on the set of an ongoing film. This shoot turned into a series of photos called "It's Your Move."
Although, this one in particular has remained a favourite of mine and will always be.

exposure therapy. I have never really cared about portrait photography or self-portraits but
being a model for others in their photography I realized they managed to capture parts of me I
never saw in myself. There will always be a constant struggle with appearance, wanting to be
skinner, prettier, have clearer skin, need this, and need that. It is easy to fall into this rabbit hole
of needing to change things to become this higher version of self. With "The Bathroom" I wanted to
draw back to the importance of self-vulnerability. Being ok in your skin takes time and progress
