Digital Art Other 17 x 24 Original Piece I have adored many oil paintings and oil painters, though mainly from Rembrandt and Gustave Jacquet. I am mainly mesmerized by the techniques of painting in oil, so I do painting studies but in digital art with programs like Photoshop and Procreate. In this piece, I wanted to do a self-portrait but in my country's traditional clothing called the "Filipiniana" or "Maria Clara dress". I decided to approach the painterly technique when doing this portrait to look a lot like an oil painting. To create a composite image which displays the idea of personality in nature visually, I captured an image of a human eye which is meant to be representing the sentiment of the nature.
Further, the image of the Milky Way I captured is forming the body of the person whom the eye is representing. This piece is inspired by my personal experience of grappling and fighting with depression.
