APPRENTICESHIPS OFFER YOU A CHANCE TO LEARN A HIGHLY SKILLED TRADE IN A NUMBER OF INDUSTRIES. WE PROVIDE THE REQUIRED ACADEMIC COMPONENTS TOWARDS AN APPRENTICESHIP, INCLUDING TECHNICAL THEORY AND IN-SCHOOL TRAINING.
The first step in any apprenticeship is to get a job with an employer who is willing to sponsor you as an apprentice.
Contact the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities; they will send out a training consultant who will meet with you and the employer to register you as an apprentice.
You’ll need to work with your employer for approximately a year before you attend trades school at Humber.
For more information about apprenticeships in Ontario, please refer to the Ontario College of Trades website at collegeoftrades.ca or your local Apprenticeship Branch office of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
Note: Some apprenticeship programs have different registration procedures. Please refer to the individual program descriptions for more information. Apprenticeship programs are open to domestic students only.
If you have recently received an Offer of Classroom Training, issued by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities, you are required to register into one of the Apprenticeship classes listed below.
Note: If you have not received an Offer of Classroom Training or are not yet a registered apprentice you are not eligible to register.
