Where can I find out what events are happening on campus?

Please visit Humber Communique for staff events.  

I have many events coming up in my school/department, where can I share these dates for the college to see?

To share your student events on Humber’s website, please add your event details to the following e-form: https://humber.ca/today/events/add.

Humber students will be able to see your events and register for workshops if needed. 

There is media on campus, how can I find out what they are doing here?

Media should not be on campus without permission. If you see media representatives on campus and they are not accompanied by a member of the Marketing and Communications team, contact Emily Milic, Associate Director, Communications, at emily.milic@humber.ca; Aaron Rathbone, Manager, Public Relations and Communications, at aaron.rathbone@humber.ca; or Sylvie Lendvay, Media Relations & External Communications Specialist, at sylvie.lendvay@humber.ca

I won an award, have professional insight about a specific topic in the news, I am working on an exciting project, can we share my story with the media?

Is there a permission/consent form available for photo taking?

photo consent form is available for use.

There is a Humber photographer/videographer taking photos of a class/event I am attending; do I have to give them consent to take my photo?

Often for large events at Humber, you will see a poster advising attendees that photos and video will be taken.

If you are uncomfortable with appearing in a photo/video please advise the event organizer/professor or the photographer/videographer. 

I would like to request a photographer/videographer for my event, how can I arrange this?

I would like my event to be featured on Humber Today. Who can I speak to about writing a story?

Who do I contact if I am having troubles adding information/event to Communiqué?

For issues with Communiqué submissions, contact Paul Nguyen, Internal Communications Specialist at paul.nguyen@humber.ca.

How does Humber communicate internally?

Humber communicates to employees through Communiqué, which is a website and daily email newsletter.

Information about what’s happening at Humber can also be found on screens around campus (HTV), as well as on Humber Today.

Can I have a media release/media advisory created for my event?

To discuss possible media outreach for your event, please complete this project request form.  

There is a program/event we are hosting next month; can we pitch this event to the media?

Yes, approval is required.
