Experience Ventures: Challenges & Hackathons

Students

Experience Ventures Hackathons and Challenges let students think like entrepreneurs, leading, experimenting, and driving innovation, within existing companies.

Through partnerships with local businesses, startups, and community organizations, Humber and Guelph-Humber students gain unique, work-integrated learning experiences that build professional skills and open new career pathways.

Open to all disciplines, these opportunities help you apply your knowledge in real-world settings. Some events may also offer cash prizes or other incentives!

Students can participate in one of two exciting formats:

  • Challenges – Take part in a multi-week experience (up to 40 hours) where you’ll work in teams to develop thoughtful, complete solutions to real-world business, social, or community issues.
  • Hackathons – Join a fast-paced, high-energy event (up to 16 hours) where you'll rapidly generate innovative solutions to real challenges presented by companies and organizations.

Eligibility

  • Open to current Humber and University of Guelph-Humber students
  • All programs and disciplines are welcome
  • No prior entrepreneurial experience needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate
