Applying with an International Baccalaureate (IB)

    Admission to a Postsecondary Diploma

    1. IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma with passes in six subjects at a standard or higher-level including required program subjects:
      1. Three passes at the Standard Level and three passes at the Higher Level; or
      2. Two passses at The Standard Level and four passes at the Higher Level.
      3. Diploma points are also considered
      4. Minimum scores of 24 will be considered, but scores of 28 or higher are recommended.
    2. Medium of instruction must be English with a pass in English A /or B
      English Proficiency requirement may be needed and are (one of the following):
      1. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based with no single band score below 20) or
      2. IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
      3. CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment) with an overall band score of 60.

    Admission to a Certificate Program

    1. IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma with passes in six subjects at a standard or higher-level including required program subjects:
      1. Three passes at the Standard Level and three passes at the Higher Level; or
      2. Two passses at The Standard Level and four passes at the Higher Level.
      3. Diploma points are also considered
      4. Minimum scores of 24 will be considered, but scores of 28 or higher are recommended.
    2. Medium of instruction must be English with a pass in English A /or B
      English Proficiency requirement may be needed and are (one of the following):
      1. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based with no single bandt score below 20) or
      2. IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
      3. CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment) with an overall band score of 60.

    Admission to a Bachelor's Degree Program

    1. IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma with passes in six subjects at a standard or higher-level including required program subjects:
      1. Three passes at the Standard Level and three passes at the Higher Level; or
      2. Two passes at The Standard Level and four passes at the Higher Level.
      3. Diploma points are also considered
      4. Minimum scores of 24 will be considered, but scores of 28 or higher are recommended.
    2. Medium of instruction must be English with a pass in English A/ or B
      English Proficiency requirement may be needed and are (one of the following):
      1. A minimum TOEFL score of 560 (paper based) or 84 (internet based with no single band score below 21) or
      2. IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.5 (no single band score below 6.0) or
      3. CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment) with an overall band score of 60.

    Note: For Bachelor of Nursing Degree a minimum TOEFL score of 600 (paper based) or 100 + (internet based with no single band score below 21) or IELTS score with an overall minimum score of 7.0 (with no single band score below 6.5).

Please note that our highest demand programs close February 1st of each year. Check up-to-the-minute program availability through Humber.

    Applications will be processed when all required documents, application and application fee of $75.00 CAD are received. These are minimums cut-offs and the admissions decision is at the discretion of Humber Admissions requirements may change at any time.

    Conditional Admission through English for Academic Purposes

    Those students who would like to prepare their English skills at Humber or who do not meet Humber’s minimum English cut-off may consider English for Academic Purposes (ESL). This program begins in January, March, May, June, September and October and consists of 8 levels, each 8 weeks in length. If applicants are fully qualified for their program choice in all areas (ie: including portfolio, interview, subject prerequisites etc.) except their English Language skills, they may be granted conditional acceptance into their program of choice and guaranteed admission upon successful completion of Level 8 of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program.
