The labs, equipment and state-of-the-art learning and workspaces at Humber set its campuses apart from other post-secondary institutions. Humber is committed to excellence in polytechnic education and has developed its facilities so that several areas within the campuses can be used as living labs where students learn, practice and apply their skills in a real-world setting.

Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology
- The Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation builds on Humber’s expertise in areas such as automation, robotics, systems integration, user experience testing, applied research and work-integrated learning.
Faculty of Health Sciences & Wellness
- The Centre for Urban Ecology is a sustainably designed building for educational programs set in our 250-acre arboretum.
- The Humber Spa is a full-service classroom and retail boutique. Students manage the administrative functions and work under the guidance of qualified instructors providing facials, hand and foot care, and body treatments.
- The Tzu Chi Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) provides a unique healthcare option to students and staff. Humber TCM students perform procedures supervised by professional, registered practitioners.
- Humber’s North Campus Massage Therapy Clinic offers appointments to staff, students and the public with students in the Massage Therapy program.
Faculty of Media, Creative Arts, and Design
- The Humber Studio Theatre at Lakeshore campus is a unique, flexible black box theatre with moveable seats and space configurations with a season of student-run productions; students also learn in the various theatre production labs housed here.
- The Humber Recording Studios are professional recording studios, allowing Humber music students access to the highest-quality production tools to realize their artistic vision.
Faculty of Social & Community Services
- The Centre for Justice Leadership is home to a simulated crime scene lab, interview rooms and a moot court of justice.
- The Humber Food Learning Garden is a collaborative project where students and the Humber community learn about local food harvesting, sustainable agriculture, food security and healthy living.
Longo Faculty of Business
- The Trading Floor, situated at Lakeshore Campus, allows students to simulate real-life trading of stocks, bonds, funds, and currencies. The trading floor adds an experiential learning element and allows students to experience what it’s like to be a trader and portfolio manager.
- The Canadian Centre of Culinary Arts and Sciences is home to our culinary programs: the Humber Room — a student-run restaurant; and Gourmet Express – a place to purchase food on the go – prepared by Humber Culinary students. The Fashion Institute is a unique storefront space on Lake Shore Blvd. West that is buzzing with ideas and inspiration, supporting all the Fashion Business Management-related programs.
- The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship, our innovation incubator, is home for everyone who wants to meet, collaborate and create. It is a space for the Humber community to get support with their earliest stages of entrepreneurship.
Humber's Centres of Innovation Network (COI)
The COI Network comprises five COIs that focus on key areas of proven strength and industry sector growth, Technology Innovation, Creative Business Innovation, Innovation in Health & Wellness, Entrepreneurship, and Social Innovation. COIs provide an experiential learning environment for Humber students and prepares them to become the innovative and strategic problem-solvers of tomorrow while providing all kinds of organizations the room to innovate and succeed—empowering them to meet the challenges of today’s economy through innovation.
