Why Choose Toronto?
Toronto is one of the world’s most multicultural cities, with something for everyone! Toronto is a safe, accessible, and vibrant city with lots to do and experience. Downtown Toronto is just a short ride away by public transit, with attractions like the CN tower, major league sports, concerts, museums, and an exciting food scene. Outside of the city, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as hiking, biking, downhill skiing and natural wonders to explore like Niagara Falls.

How to Apply
Step 1
Reach out to your exchange coordinator at your home institution. You will need to check that there is a partnership between Humber and your Home institution first. Only students from a Humber partner institution can be nominated for an exchange semester.
Step 2
Your exchange coordinator will assess your eligibility for exchange. If successful, your exchange coordinator will nominate you to Humber.
Step 3
Once nominated by your home institution, you will need to submit the following three forms. Submission instructions will be sent to you by Humber after you have been nominated.
- Application Form
- Signed Learning Agreement
- Transcript
What You Need To Know
Students should budget $500-$800 CAD for course textbooks. Other approximate monthly costs of living are around $600 - $800 per month (this does not include accommodation).

To ensure that all exchange students at Humber have access to basic health care while studying at Humber, health care insurance is mandatory for all exchange students. Students are responsible for paying for the International Student Insurance provided through Humber, currently Morcare.
Students may elect to purchase additional insurance as needed. Please find more information about health insurance on the Health Insurance page.
Incoming students studying for less than 6 months may require a visa or ETA that may be an additional cost. You will receive more information upon receipt of a Humber offer letter.
Humber Residence
Humber offers a limited number of accommodation rooms to incoming exchange students. For more information about our residence rooms, click here. You will be sent instructions to apply for accommodation once your application has been received and approved. Please note, your residence will correspond with the location of your program, either at our Lakeshore or North Campus.
Stay in the Neighborhood
There are other housing options available in the neighborhood. Please note, Humber is not affiliated with the following companies. It will be the student’s responsibility to find adequate accommodation. Toronto is a big city - don’t forget to ensure your housing is within close proximity to Humber.
