Ranya serves on multiple internal committees, such as the Equity Action Task Force and Emerging Technology, AI and Pedagogies Advisory Group making her a key contributor to shaping inclusive, forward-thinking academic strategies that support equitable and innovative teaching practices.
Ranya Khan has exemplified unwavering dedication and innovative leadership as Associate Dean by spearheading transformative initiatives, including the AI and UDL Institutes, Climate Action MOOC, and Online Program Builds, while fostering an inclusive, collegial culture that advances Humber’s core values and significantly enhances faculty support and student success.
Since joining Humber, Ranya has always been an excellent mentor to individual faculty members, drawing on her expertise in Higher Education to provide tailored guidance on curriculum design, pedagogical strategies, and inclusive teaching practices. Now, as Associate Dean, she continues to encourage faculty from across programs to seek Innovative Learning’s support through her professionalism and authenticity, making Innovative Learning the first point of contact for pedagogical guidance. Ranya also engages community and industry partners, such as educational technology vendors and external advisors, to pilot cutting-edge learning environments and reinforce Humber’s broader network.
