Award Recipients

Simon Ibbotson embodies all the qualities deserving of a President’s Award at Humber. His exceptional interpersonal skills make him invaluable, and his technical expertise and dedication ensures our Mailroom operates at high standard and delivers exceptional service to the entire Humber community. ​

​This year marks Simon’s 40^th year of service at Humber. He has worked in many positions at our institution - Hospitality Receiving, Bookstore Receiving, Food Services Purchasing and finally as a Mailroom Clerk first at Lakeshore campus and then at North campus since 2011. Simon is an integral member of the Capital Development and Facilities Management team and the work he performs alongside his teammates has an immediate impact on all students and staff at both Lakeshore and North Campuses.​

Simon is an outstanding member of our Mailroom team, and he is a key contact for the entire Humber Community regarding all matters related to Shipping and Receiving. Whether it’s a student seeking directions, a team member with lost package or a department in need of large shipping, Simon ensures that the job gets done and will provide support to anyone that needs it. ​

​He promotes an excellent work study environment for our students through his ongoing training and guidance and students in his team come to work excited and ready to perform. Throughout his tenure, he has also participated in many activities that enriched the student experience. He was involved in countless Athletics activities that included working with multiple Humber Hawks teams during regular season games and was also involved in several Provincial Championships.
