Aliya is a true sustainability advocate and is always working to engage in sustainability initiatives. She spearheaded the Repair Café events at Humber, a community initiative aimed at reducing waste by encouraging the repair of household items.
Aliya Dalfen is recognized for her outstanding leadership in advancing sustainability at Humber through the creation of impactful resources, innovative programming, and community-focused events. These initiatives aim to reduce waste, bring sustainability to the forefront of conversations, increase climate awareness and action within the institution.

Aliya is a true sustainability advocate and is always working to engage in sustainability initiatives. She spearheaded the Repair Café events at Humber, a community initiative aimed at reducing waste by encouraging the repair of household items. This event not only addressed issues of waste but also fostered a sense of community and collective responsibility. There were two successful Repair Cafes that welcomed over 90 guests from the Humber community, including students, faculty, and local community members, and helped fix over 55 broken items.
