“Through her leadership and amplification of global perspectives, both students and the wider Humber community have gained deeper understanding of the world and their place within it.”
Jennifer Cleary, Faculty of Media, Creative Arts, & Design
For over two decades, Cathy has led students to develop global citizenship by immersing them in international experiences and guiding them to create visual and written stories that convey inclusive, globally minded narratives.
Cathy Bidini’s longstanding dedication to international education has made a profound and lasting impact on both Humber students and faculty. Over her 26 years at Humber, Cathy has led numerous internationally focused projects that have prepared students to thrive as global citizens and professionals in their respective fields.
From her former role as Program Coordinator of the Photography Diploma to her current position leading the Media Communications Diploma – and throughout her time as a faculty member – Cathy has consistently leveraged visual storytelling and diverse communication platforms to convey inclusive, globally mindful narratives.
She has not only introduced her students to international perspectives and fostered meaningful cross-cultural connections but has also prioritized amplifying these experiences through public-facing platforms. Her projects are frequently accompanied by gallery exhibitions and community engagement initiatives – such as blogs, videos, publications, and articles – that extend their influence across the Humber community and beyond.
