Real Estate Salesperson Program Facilitators

Ontario’s real estate landscape is evolving. Consumers are more informed than ever, and technology is changing the way real estate professionals conduct business.

To better meet the demands of tomorrow, the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) set out to create a new program that will do more to ensure that new salespeople are ready to serve their clients’ needs on day one of the job. Through focused content development, simulations and assessments, learners will be equipped with more knowledge from the get-go. This means that they’ll have the confidence needed to trade in real estate, and provide high quality service to buyers and sellers in Ontario.

Humber College is now the new provider of the Real Estate Salesperson Program in Ontario. Our new cutting-edge programs are offered online and in locations across the province.

We are calling for interested Real Estate Professionals who want to make an impact in their industry by participating in the new Real Estate Salesperson Program in the role of a facilitator. Facilitators will act as independent contractors to provide “as and when required” facilitator services.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Must be an independent contractor with HST number
  • Have or be willing to obtain WSIB coverage, as applicable
  • Be willing to complete mandatory facilitator onboarding programs, including the online e-Learing modules of the Real Estate Education Program and Humber's online Facilitation Effectiveness Program
  • Have or be willing to obtain professional liability insurance in an amount of two million Canadian dollars ($2,000,000.00)

  • Accurately describe activity setup and expectations
  • Foster Learner participation in activities to reinforce previous learning from eLearning modules
  • Guide productive discussions that drive Learners to find answers on their own
  • Direct Learners to relevant tools and resources
  • Provide constructive actionable feedback on Learner performance and knowledge

Applicants should demonstrate experience and skills consistent with the specific qualifications listed below. 

The following criteria will be used in the selection of an independent facilitator:

  • 24 months occupational experience as a Real Estate Professional (Residential or Commercial) OR
  • 36 months of instruction/facilitation experience in Real Estate Education Training
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario provincial real estate principles and practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Technically proficient with Microsoft Office, email and learning management system(s) and virtual training software
  • Candidates are reviewed by RECO


Applicants will be contracted for a period of one (1) year subject to renewal.
