The Humber College Campus Stores are open and offering an online shopping experience as well as in-store shopping to provide students and the Humber community with one stop convenience. Students can purchase everything from their course materials to the supplies such as notebooks, paper, writing instruments, calculators, and more to aid in their studies on or off campus.

Order online at www.humbershop.ca for North Campus and www.humberlakeshoreshop.ca for Lakeshore Campus. Free pick up in-store.  

Online orders will be shipped to students' homes or to an address of their choice or select free pick up in-store. The current processing time for order fulfillment is within 48-72 hours. If an item is not available in our store, that order will be sent to another Campus Store within our chain for fulfillment. Delivery time for these will be 4-6 days.   

Options available for course materials:

• Print: Textbooks (format Hardcover, Softcover, Loose leaf) - these options are dictated by publishers   
• Digital: Either PDF e-book or Adaptive Learning /Homework Management. 
• Bundles: Two or more textbooks or textbook with Digital card sold as one unit 

We carry rental, digital and used textbook formats to help save you money.  

The Campus Stores carry a wide variety of Humber and University of Guelph-Humber gifts and swag. You can customize a program sweater (hoodie or crewneck) at the Campus Stores. It is with mixed emotions, I announce the departure of Dr. Mojgan Rezvani (Associate Dean) from the Faculty of Health Sciences & Wellness, effective August 29, 2022. 

Mojgan has served Humber since 2014 in the capacity of Professor, Program Coordinator (Biotechnology, Clinical Research, and Regulatory Affairs), and most recently, as Associate Dean, (Biomedical Sciences & Health Regulation). Mojgan consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to student success, and has always championed initiatives that contribute to enhancing the lives of learners, faculty and staff.

Most recently she led the development of three new programs in Infection Prevention and Control, Clinical Bioinformatics and Biomedical Sciences.

Although a loss for Humber, the Faculty of Health Sciences & Wellness wishes Mojgan well as she transitions to an Executive Dean role at Durham College. Please join me in thanking Mojgan for everything she has contributed to our students, our employee groups, our Faculty, and the College overall, and wish her well as she moves into the next phase of her career.

To the Humber community,

On behalf of the LGBTQ+ Resource and Centre 2SLGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG), we want to say thank you to everyone who celebrated Pride Month with us this year. We are happy to have witnessed enormous support and engagement in Pride events and activities throughout the whole college. We truly appreciate everyone who put together a Pride themed event, helped get the word out on social media, decorated their spaces with Pride symbols or came out to participate in the events and parades.

Pride Month was a huge success, however, it is critical to remember that our support of 2SLGBTQ+ community is needed 365 days of the year.

Find practical tips for practicing 2SLGBTQ+ allyship daily prepared by Egale Canada. In order to be a good ally to our 2SLGBTQ+ students and employees, we should continuously learn about 2SLGBTQ+ lives and experiences and practice allyship daily by using inclusive language or intervening when we see offensive behavior. Finally, allyship is a never-ending journey of self-reflection and openness to the feedback and new perspectives from the community. We hope you all continue to grow in your aspiring ally journey.

Again, thank you to everyone who put effort into making the month of June a proud and colourful month together with us. We are proud of our Humber community and look forward to continued partnerships and events that support the Humber 2SLBGTQ+ community!

I’m happy to announce that Nora Esperanza has accepted the role of Associate Director, Operations, for the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, effective August 22.

Nora has been Residence Manager at Humber since 2014, where she has been responsible for all aspects of residence operations, including the admissions process, room assignments, occupancy rate management, front desk services, summer conference operations, and operational budgets. She is a strong, experienced leader who approaches strategic planning, operations, and decision-making from an equity-focused perspective. With her vast experience in leadership, operations, and budgeting, Nora will build on our Faculty’s existing operational strengths as we continue our focus on excellence in supporting our students, faculty, and staff.

Nora holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a specialization in Accounting, from the University of Guelph-Humber. She also holds an Immigration Consultant Certificate from Humber, and she has engaged in a number of professional development activities, including Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, Project Management Fundamentals for Leadership, and the Deep Diversity Learning Series.
