Join us Monday, February 28 for Teaching & Learning Day Winter 2022. Hosted by the Humber Seneca Polytechnic Partnership (HSPP).
What is Teaching & Learning Day Winter 2022?
A day dedicated to showcasing and sharing ideas and activities about how to enhance teaching and learning. The focus of Teaching & Learning Day Winter 2022 is on Educational Technology.
This event is part of the Humber-Seneca Polytechnic Partnership (HSPP). The HSPP was created to promote co-operation between the two institutions.
Teaching & Learning Day Winter 2022 will begin with welcoming remarks from Marianne Marando, Vice-President Academic at Seneca, and Gina Antonacci, Vice-President Academic at Humber.
Then we will hear from Radha Krishnan, Vice President of Information Services at Seneca, and Scott Briggs, Vice-President of Digital Innovation and CIO at Humber, as they discuss the IT and technology updates both institutions.

Counselling Services is excited to announce that they will be running a virtual mindfulness group this winter 2022 semester called The Mindful Way. This will be a nine-week closed group with a maximum of 12 participants. The group involves a combination of psycho-education, mindfulness skills and experiential learning.
The closed group starts on Thursday, February 3 and will run for nine weeks every Thursday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Zoom.

The Math and Research CoP sessions are starting again, and our first one this term will be held on Wednesday, February 16 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 pm (EST).
Topic: The Definition of a Mathematician
Speaker: Rosalie Belanger-Rioux, Mathematics and Statistics Department, McGill University
Description: In this interactive workshop, participants will reflect on what we think it means to be a mathematician, who is seen or counted as a mathematician, what causes this, and how that affects our communities of learning, teaching and research in mathematics. If you would like to explore those issues, come and find out! Be prepared to discuss some potentially difficult topics.
This meeting will be presented via Zoom. This Zoom meeting link will also be posted to the Math and Research CoP Teams channel.
