Humber College Drone Team Competing at Drone Fair

Drone Fair is the first event of its kind in Canada. The event brings together vendors, innovators, professional pilots and enthusiasts for an event that will entice, educate and elevate drone technology.​​ See our Humber College Drone Team compete against UofT, UOIT and Ryerson in the Drone Off Competition on November 26 at 4 p.m. Our UAV Program Lead Yifei Zhao will also host a speaking session on Safety and Training at 2 p.m.

Backfill Update November 2016

Communications Update – November 2016

We are pleased to share with the Humber community that phase one of the college’s North Campus Backfill project is almost complete.

North Campus backfill began in 2015 and will be completed in January 2017, when three new baking labs in D building will open. These labs will put our baking and pastry students front and centre in the renovated building, showcasing teaching and learning.

Daniel Castillo-Sanchez, Manager, Financial Aid

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Daniel Castillo-Sanchez was recently the successful candidate for the position of Manager, Financial Aid.  As you may know, Daniel has held key roles in Financial Aid at Humber for the past 15 years. He has taken on leadership positions including a secondment to the ESP (Banner Implementation) as Banner Student Aid Functional Lead. Daniel is well-respected by his peers both in the Registrar’s Office and in other institutions, and regularly participates in provincial conferences and initiatives.

Wampun Belt Teaching

Brian Charles is an off-reserve Band member of the Chippewas of Georgian Island and has live in the Barrie region of over 40 years. He has worked as an Aboriginal Liaison at both the provincial and federal levels for over 20 years. He currently resides along the western shoreline of Lake Simcoe on the outskirts of the village of Hawkestone.

Brian Charles has been working collaboratively with a small group of knowledge keepers to redevelop an archive and physical repository of wampum belts related to Ojibway history.
