She's strong and kind, and she has this great energy that I wanted to capture on paper. I didn't want just another serious portrait; I wanted to show her in a fun, relaxed moment because that's a side of her we don't often see. This drawing is about the person behind the fame, the real human expressions we all have. It's about connecting with her in a way that's true to life, not just as a celebrity. That's why I love drawing portraits – to show that behind every well-known face is a real person who laughs, makes funny faces, and doesn't take themselves too seriously all the time. It is not about making an exact copy; it is about showing who they are and what I see in them. When I draw, it is just me and my art, and everything else fades away. It is how I unwind and feel at peace. Drawing is my quiet time. It is when I am the happiest, even if life is busy or tough. Picking who to draw takes me ages because I am looking for a picture that really speaks to me, one that shows some real emotion or tells a story. This portrait was not about finishing fast; it was about enjoying the drawing and making something I am proud of. From personal experience, I realized that when one life ends, another life begins. I used different symbols that represent life, death, and birth. Symbolism and how all this is happening within the power of nature are an important part of this work.

Cereal boxes in particular, as they were an art form of their own. I took inspiration from the cereal boxes Norman Rockwell illustrated in the 50s, and from the old western craze that occurred during that time. Those boxes today are pretty rare to get your hands on, and if you were lucky enough to inherit it, you would be able to sell it at auction for a pretty penny. When creating this piece, I thought to myself about misprints and how some of them are extremely valuable. If you look closely at this piece, you would notice the way "Willikers" is spelled at the top is different from the way it's spelled at the bottom. This was intentional, and I wanted to show the beauty of the error or the needle in the haystack shall I say. In terms of creating this piece, I wanted to see if I could create an original 1950s snack sized cereal box by replicating the methods used by illustrators in the 50s. Specifically the character Diego "Dio" Brando. Diego is a 1800's horse jockey and antagonist within his story. His antihero characteristics and backstory are a wonderful read and always interesting every page we see him in. His Stand: "Scary Monsters" allows him to transform into a dinosaur at first against his will but later at his own discretion. Using the aspect of his ability being at first forced upon him and uncontrollable i wanted to lean into that mystery and horror. further inspiring me in this aspect was the song "Wolf Like Me" by TV On The Radio. With lyrics like "My mind has changed my body's frame but god I like it. My hearts aflame, my body's strained but god I like it." This interesting character and this amazing song combined into me creating this image using an officially licensed import figure and a background. The exuding mental pressure, physical prowess and abilities of Risotto and his Stand: "Metallica" create an impact on my mind as a reader. Further inspiring me are the songs of the band which inspired Risotto's creation as a character, Metallica. These heavy metal tracks along with the truly incredible depiction of a character drove me to bringing this moment into the real world using an officially licensed import figure of his character along with some set pieces.
