Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship Program

The Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship Program at Humber College is a tuition-free program funded by the Government of Canada that is designed as a transition step to finding an apprenticeship.

Participants will receive Level 1 Electrician – Construction and Maintenance as well as exposure to Domestic and Rural applications. Remedial math support is built into the program and will take place in conjunction with the training delivery to reinforce concepts.

The program is delivered over 10 weeks, followed by a paid work placement of 8 to 12 weeks.

The Horticulture Technician Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program for Women prepares women who have a keen interest in the skilled trades for employment in the landscape sector.

Typical jobs in this industry include landscape construction,grounds and golf course maintenance, parks operations and gardens care.

The program provides both academic and practical training to assist with obtaining employment.

The Millwright/General Machinist Pre-Apprenticeship Program at Humber College is a tuition-free program that will support you to explore and develop skills related to the General Machinist (429a) trade. The program also includes exposure to the Welding trade and assistance with securing a paid work placement.
