“Working with her team to improve on workflows that contribute to Humber's sustainability efforts have made Staci an example of how each of us should consider our own working habits and how we each play a role in protecting our environment.”
Monique Krasek, Office of the VP Administration & CFO
Staci's commitment to the environment and sustainability has been evident in the innovative initiatives that she has implemented in the Account Payables team.
Staci Lindsay has been an advocate for our environment and sustainability efforts. This past year, Staci brought her personal passion and combined it with one of Humber’s core values of sustainability. Under Staci’s leadership Humber’s Account Payables team transitioned to paperless employee reimbursement using Chrome River. This went live in May 2021 with training continued through February 2022. Staci continues to support procurement to payment (P2P) process review and and plan for future enhancements or business process changes.
Additional sustainability efforts within the AP department has resulted in a reduction of physical cheques. In Fiscal 2022 less than 200 paper cheques were issued compared to 1000 paper cheques in Fiscal 2021.
Staci’s commitment to protecting our environment was captured in Humber’s Sustainability Spotlight. Staci continues lead by example and provides advice to anyone looking to get involved with sustainability-related projects: “Do research and learn about environmental or social issues to figure out what you are interested in. Find a group near you and get involved with them. You can also find groups, join up first and learn about what you might be interested in.”
Staci is a hardworking and easy to work with member of our team. She provides extensive knowledge as she has not only historical but also long standing institutional knowledge of the college and the Financial Services team.
