As part of the Government Relations, Marketing, and Communications department, Dekel shares his expertise with members of the Humber community, supporting his peers and exemplifying the college's core values.

In his role, Dekel is often called upon to create graphic materials with tight timelines. He consistently produces high-quality work with impressive speed. He is consulted for his input on the look and feel of high-profile initiatives such as the Digital Campus Plan and produces the promotional materials for events such as the President's BBQ, President's Breakfast, Presidential Installation, and convocation.

He was instrumental in creating the visuals for Pride 2023 events that were reflective of the overall theme of Queer Joy. Working closely with the committee, Dekel demonstrated a commitment to an inclusive and healthy work environment.

This past year, Dekel has worked on several projects with other institutions and external partners, managing competing priorities and sometimes conflicting feedback. He designed the backgrounder for the launch of the Schulich Builders Scholarship announcement that involved several provincial Ministers and Ontario colleges.

He provides an exceptional level of support to anyone he interacts and steps in to provide photography services and help his peers when the Creative Services team is at capacity. All portfolios within Government Relations, Marketing, and Communications rely on Dekel and are consistently impressed with his collaborative approach and how important his work is to the success of the department overall.
