Daniel Bear demonstrates dedicated performance, loyalty and commitment to Humber Polytechnic extending well beyond the normal requirements of his role as Director for Social Innovation. Daniel’s work fosters Humber Polytechnic's strategic initiatives while meeting the community's needs. This can be seen through his proactive leadership on issues of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, his encouragement and support for faculty pursuing innovative projects, and his collaboration across the COI network. Daniel’s academic leadership has had a significant influence on Humber culture, our students, and the greater community in addition to his award winning and grant winning applied research activity.
Daniel is dedicated to supporting every team he works with and promoting student education and success. His research team shares his vision of a better world leveraging one of Humber's key strategies: Research and Social Innovation. The PACE project yet another one of his initiatives, which stands for "Pharmacists as Cannabis Educators" is just one project he is currently the head investigator on. Daniel sets and example and inspires others by example. Daniel pulled together the PACE team, spearheaded project development, initiated and drove partnerships internal and external to Humber, and is the primary person leading outreach to participants.

Daniel focuses on allowing each member of the team to reach their potential. From the hiring process to the planning and deliverables process, equity and well-being and respect are messaged and understood. Andrea Campea’s dedication to her work is evident in her strategic leadership of the Student Connection & Community Care team. Andrea fosters a collegial team to create an inclusive, process-driven student conduct system at Humber Polytechnic, and build exemplary relationships, educating educators on community standards and student well-being. Andrea has demonstrated proactive leadership by developing an innovative student conduct model that integrates industry best practices and Humber's Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging values.
Andrea’s innovative and proactive leadership is further evidenced by her involvement in the Committee on Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence. As Chair, she has led numerous initiatives aimed at educating the campus community about consent and prevention strategies. Her efforts have resulted in increased awareness and reporting, thereby contributing to a safer campus environment. Similarly, her co-chairing of the CARE Team underscores her holistic approach to student wellness. This multidisciplinary team supports students’ emotional, physical, and psychological well-being, addressing issues from multiple angles to provide comprehensive support.
Her contributions to the Humber community extend beyond her immediate responsibilities. She has actively participated in the AODA committee, presented at Associate Dean Community of Practice meetings, and contributed to the Program Coordinator Forum meeting. Her involvement in the President’s Awards selection panel and the CICE selection committee further demonstrates her commitment to the institution. Andrea’s recent academic achievements, including a Master of Education in Post-Secondary Studies from Memorial University of Newfoundland and certifications in Appreciative Administration and Student Affairs & Services, highlight her continuous pursuit of professional development.

Hanh consistently offers valuable financial guidance and mentoring to faculties and departments, with the admirable ability to communicate her knowledge at a level easily understood by internal stakeholders.
Hanh is an "in the tranches" soldier in the finance department. Her knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting is second to none. She has her finger on the pulse of Humber Polytechnic and has positioned herself, and that of the finance department, as a valuable resource within Humber. Hanh works tirelessly into the evenings and weekends to meet tight deadlines for key deliverables, yet still makes an effort to maintain connection and attend to the needs of her team and clients.
Hanh played a leadership role in Humber and UGH financial audits, ensuring timely and accurate information for auditors. Her work has been praised annually for its quality, contributing to successful audits. This also extends to external funding audits, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and promoting Humber’s accountability and positive relationships for future funding opportunities.
She prepares budget and forecast reports for committees and boards, consistently providing high-quality information that has received accolades from the executive team as well as board members, positively impacting Humber’s reputation.
