Further to the original ONECard Communiqué post in June, ONECard has arrived at Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber. ONEcard is a smartphone application that will be used by all students, faculty and staff as their digital identification, digital key and digital wallet solution for campus-wide services. It’s free, easy to use and secure. Visit the ONECard website to learn more.
For the 2021-22 academic year, ONECard will be used in parallel with the physical student and staff ID cards to access services across campus. ONECard is a multi-year initiative that will offer many new services and offerings. As these services are ready for release, ONECard will replace the existing tools currently used to access those services.
The ONECard App will be available for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play app store on Monday, August 30. Visit the ONECard App page to learn how to download it.
For 2021-22, some services such as the Bookstore, Campus Dining, and Parking will support ONECard, while running parallel with existing payment solutions.
Service-specific ONECard information will continue to be added to the Where to Use page as they become available.

Fall 2021 Full-Time students who will be taking at least one course on-campus will be receiving a message about ONECard later this week. Additional communications outreach will take place in the next few weeks.

It is with very mixed emotions that I share that Lara McInnis has accepted an exciting new role as Faculty Development Advisor at Seneca College.
Lara has had a long and rich career at Humber. After graduating from Humber’s TESL program in 2002, Lara joined the faculty in the English Language Centre, eventually moving to the English Department in FLA. Over the course of her career, Lara taught writing and communication across multiple programs, with a special focus on English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Along the way, Lara has earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues for her generosity, teaching expertise, and commitment to students.
Over the years, Lara has contributed significantly to numerous initiatives at Humber. On secondment to the Centre for Innovative Learning, Lara has worked to support numerous faculty, both through the Teaching Excellence Program (TEP) and through her championing of the HLOs, UDL and EDI, to name but a few of the areas where she has had an impact. Across Humber, Lara has developed many connections and supported numerous projects, among them the Sustainability COP, the IGS Community and Industry Engagement common course, and the Digital Fluency for the Workplace project, becoming known for her insight, expertise, and collaborative leadership.
Although Lara will be much missed by the Humber community, I know you will join me in wishing her much success in this next stage of her journey.

We are pleased to share that from April-August of this year, Humber College partnered with the South Etobicoke Vaccine Engagement through the City of Toronto, and the West Toronto Ontario Health Team to ensure those most vulnerable in our South-Lakeshore community had access to COVID-19 vaccines.
Humber worked with our partners to convert the Lakeshore Fashion Institute building into an accessible space for clinics that administered COVID-19 vaccines to high need community members requiring additional wrap-around supports, including isolated seniors, those with mobility issues, people experiencing homelessness, and more. This was a highly targeted initiative involving many community partners and health service coordination due to the target clientele.
Over the course of this partnership, there has been total of 15 clinics, with 12 occurring at our Lakeshore site. This has resulted in the vaccination of 1503 hard to reach, highly vulnerable individuals in the South Lakeshore community.
We would like to thank our partners for working with us to make a positive impact in the Humber Lakeshore community. We’d also like to extend special thanks to Humber's Facilities Management team, the Department of Public Safety, and the Faculty of Business as their support was instrumental in making this collaboration possible.

The Campus Bookstores are open and offering an online shopping experience as well as in-store shopping.
Online orders will be shipped to students' homes or to an address of their choice. The current processing time for order fulfillment is within 48-72 hours. If an item is not available in our store, that order will be sent to another Campus Store within our chain for fulfillment. Delivery time for these will be 4-6 days.
To provide contactless service, online order pick up will be handled at the window outside the store (Window in the Wall) at the North Campus.

We will continue to provide both print and digital options for as many courses as possible. Please note that not all publisher's materials are available to the Campus Bookstore in a digital format. Digital delivery (access code) distribution can vary from providing an access code online to providing a printed code card for physical delivery.

Your patience is much appreciated during these unprecedented times. At both the campus stores, we're giving everybody lots of room practicing physical/social distancing, washing our hands, wearing masks and gloves as well as regularly sanitizing common areas of each store.

Due to the global electronic component shortage, we are experiencing extended delivery delays from most of our technology product suppliers. Most affected by the delays are displays, Windows laptop computers, docking stations and Apple iPads. As the situation is constantly changing, additional devices and suppliers could be impacted.
Please take this into consideration when planning your purchases as we anticipate the situation is unlikely to improve for the next number of months. Furthermore, these delays will be compounded as the end of the year approaches. As a reminder, all purchases must be received before year end to be accounted for in the current fiscal year.

Paid parking to resume on Wednesday, September 13, 2021
As Humber welcomes back more staff, faculty and students to campus in September, we would like to share details of the parking arrangements for the Fall 2021 semester.
We encourage you to read through all details in the attached documents and note the key dates below in order to take action on the parking arrangement that best suits you.

- Monday, August 16, 2021 – Full-time staff permit renewal process begins
- Wednesday, September 1, 2021 – Full-time staff and faculty’s New Flexible Multi-use Parking Permit become available for sale (North Campus Only)
- Monday, September 13, 2021 – Paid parking resumes
Important notes:
- All existing full-time staff parking permits have expired
- Full-time staff and faculty, who wish to apply for a new or replacement permit may choose from one of the options outlined in attachment 1
- Any faculty or staff member who does not process their new parking permit during the time period outlined in attachment 1; will be unable to gain access to the North Campus parking lot(s) on September 13
- Part-time staff and faculty parking permits remain unchanged and are currently available for credit card purchase through MyHumber
- New parking permits are available through MyHumber
- Full-time staff and faculty MUST use their ONECard app on their mobile phone for entry to Lot 9
- Information on how to download and use ONECard will be shared prior to September 13, 2021
Humber’s Commitment to Sustainability
We encourage everyone to explore Humber’s sustainable transportation options, including the new Flexible Multi-use Permits at North Campus, which supports those who can reduce how often they drive to and from campus. This affordable option is available through MyHumber, starting September 1, 2021.
