DEWALT partners with Humber to support the next generation of skilled trades professionals

DEWALT is helping Humber College students in the skilled trades thanks to a partnership and $300,000 donation that will be used for scholarships, tools for students and additional meaningful supports.
 
Guests and dignitaries gathered at the Humber Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology on February 15 to officially kick off the partnership and celebrate the gift. The guests connected with Humber leadership and enjoyed a tour of the Centre and DEWALT’s new recognition plaque following the announcement.
 

Humber community comes together to celebrate graduating class at Fall Convocation

There were big smiles, warm embraces and more than a few happy tears as the Humber community celebrated the achievements of its graduating class at Fall 2022 Convocation.

The Toronto Congress Centre welcomed the more than 1,900 graduating students, their families and loved ones to celebrate the moment in-person. The graduation ceremonies were also livestreamed for those who wanted to attend but couldn’t.

The occasion was a memorable one for President and CEO Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan, who was presiding over her first convocation since joining Humber.

Un-bee-lievable: Humber College adding third pollinator garden to North Campus

Humber College continues its efforts to protect and support pollinators and the important role they play in the ecosystem by planting a third pollinator garden at North Campus.

The college was recognized for its work to support pollinators after receiving a Bee Campus designation from Bee City Canada last year. Humber is just one of 11 post-secondary institutions in the province to have achieved the designation that requires a commitment to creating and improving pollinator habitat as well as education outreach about the importance of pollinators.
