The Consent Peer Education Program is looking for artists, musicians, writers, and any other creative expression to present/perform at this year's Take Back the Night!

About the event:

  • Cause: Take Back The Night is a global grassroots movement to stand against sexual, relationship, and domestic violence in all forms.
  • Location: North Campus
  • Date: September 21, 2023

Any and all art is welcome for this event. We are looking for visual art to present in a gallery, as well as live musical, dance, theatrical, and/or spoken word performances. All performances will be in a coffeehouse-style, acoustic performances, meaning no large scale or band performances. Performers are asked to provide their own instruments/props. A video or reference to part of the content to be performed is required prior to live performances at the event.

The purpose of this event is to bring awareness to sexual violence prevention and foster a supportive community for survivors of sexual assault. We highly encourage artists to perform or present material related to this topic or around the ideas of hope, trauma, healing, community, connection, care, love, or otherwise.

We will be providing a stage, microphones, and speakers for the live performers. We will also be providing easels and description cards for individuals who are presenting visual art. All volunteers will have access to snacks and refreshments and will be given Take Back The Night shirts for their participation in the event.

We appreciate your contributions to this meaningful and impactful cause.
