Eligible employees can take courses offered by Humber Polytechnic and the University of Guelph-Humber for a discounted tuition rate of $20.

Discounted General Public Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) Courses

Employees have access to discounted courses and workshops, certificate programs, bootcamps, and micro-credential programs provided by Humber’s Continuous Professional Learning (CPL).

Discounted Computer Software

Employees have access to Office 365, an online productivity suite that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and Outlook. You may install Office 365 on up to 5 personal computing devices and use it as long as you are an employee. You can access Office 365 by logging in with your Humber username and password at humber.ca/office365.

Discounted and free software is also available for download at OnTheHub. OnTheHub provides students, faculty and staff with discounted and free academic software. Notable titles available include: Adobe Creative Cloud, Norton Security Software and Parallels Desktop for Mac.

FHSW Teaching & Learning Hub

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness (FHSW) Teaching & Learning Hub (A107) offers several choices to faculty and staff to support healthy living at Humber. All treatments are provided under the guidance and supervision of qualified faculty and staff. The Teaching and Learning Humber includes the following services: Healthy Lifestyles, Fitness, Nutrition, and Humber’s Massage Therapy Teaching & Learning Clinic.


Graduate Assistance Program (GAP)

Tuition assistance in the form of a scholarship is available to employees looking to advance their education through discipline-specific post-secondary degrees, Masters degrees or Doctoral degrees at an accredited post-secondary institution. Funding under this program is for a maximum of four (4) years for each individual program up to a maximum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year.

Holiday Closure

Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber are typically closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Please note this closure is dependent on school/departmental needs, so please discuss with your manager for further details.


Humber Gym & Pool

Humber’s Fitness Centres are state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all students, employees and the community through physical fitness. They offer FREE fitness classes, discounted training with Certified Personal Trainers, Fitness Assessments, Nutrition Consultations and Incentive Programs.

The Humber Community Pool, located at Humber’s North Campus, offers free pool access for Faculty and Staff during “Humber Polytechnic Swim” hours.


Humber Library

The Humber Library and Learning Commons are spaces designed to support work, study, research, collaboration and provide access to advanced technology.


Instructional Support Studio

Through the Instructional Support Studio, employees are provided with a variety of services to ensure the effective and appropriate use of technology to support learning.


Professional Development

Employees have access to a wide range of professional development opportunities through on-campus courses, workshops and eLearning.

This program enables employees to receive discounted rates on online purchases by ordering through Staples Business Advantage.


TELUS Health Employee Assistance Program

TELUS Health provides all employees with access to online resources on topics such as health & well-being, career & workplace, financial security, and life-events. Full-time employees and Regular Part-Time (RPT) Support Staff also have access to the Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP), which can be accessed through the TELUS Health website. Part-time/contract employees who need counselling support should contact oe@humber.ca for assistance.

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)

Tuition assistance is available to employees where Humber provides financial assistance for certificate, diploma, degree, doctoral programs and/or professional association courses taken at an accredited post-secondary institution or professional association.


Tuition Reimbursement for Dependents

Your eligible dependents as defined under the Income Tax Act such as your spouse and/or dependent children (until the age of 25) may be eligible for the Tuition Reimbursement for Dependents Program. They must be enrolled as a full-time student in a full-time program at Humber Polytechnic or the University of Guelph-Humber. There is a maximum reimbursement of $2500 per semester for a maximum of 10 semesters.
