As we return to campus this fall, please anticipate potential traffic delays due to the ongoing construction of the Finch West LRT.

LRT construction will occur in a number of phases and it may impact traffic and your commute to and from Humber’s North Campus, especially along Humber College Blvd, Highway 27 and Finch Avenue West. Capital Development and Facilities Management and Communications will continue to update the Humber community during the project.

Staff and students are encouraged to plan their visit to campus accordingly.

Please take care when navigating near construction areas.

Please visit metrolinx.com/finchwestlrt for more information, including where and when the work is happening, and what to expect during this construction phase.

We thank you again for your patience as we work to improve our learning environment and our sustainability.

Humber Research Project Success Story: Power Supply Design

In 2018, Humber College and SEW-EURODRIVE entered a five-year partnership agreement designed to build awareness and provide training and applied research opportunities related to Industry 4.0 technologies, a critical aspect of advanced manufacturing.

Humber’s Office of Research & Innovation (ORI) continues to support and encourage faculty, researchers, and students to get involved and participate in applied research opportunities with our valued industry partners.

Recently, researchers at the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST), with the sponsorship of SEW-EURODRIVE, worked in a project collaboration space at the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation at Humber College to design a CT-based energy harvesting circuit that powers an SEW-EURODRIVE sensor board used for three-phase AC motors condition monitoring. This project was supported and partially funded by Humber’s Office of Research & Innovation
