The ENN (Employee News Network) was launched a year ago. It continues to provide news for employees by employees. This user-generated news channel is aimed at highlighting employee achievements, new initiatives, milestones and announcements.

Do you or your department have an announcement to make? Want to promote your event or initiative at Humber? Do you have good news to share? ENN is the place to do it!

All approved ENN videos will appear on the Communiqué website and selected videos will be featured in the daily newsletter. The Communications team approves all content before publication in Communiqué and on ENN.

We welcome new submissions all year round. To submit your video, go to humber.ca/enn.

We received feedback from the Community thanking the Senior Leadership and EDI Taskforce for launching the Black/African ERG:

  • Thank you to this organization. Others dreams can now become a reality.

  • Thank you for inviting all members of the Humber community to join our Black/African colleagues in celebrating the launch of this ERG. I am excited to see what we will be able to achieve when we work to help more members feel as though they are supported in bringing all of their identities to work and school each day.

Today's technology relies heavily on devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones. myWi-Fi@Humber is a secure, high-speed, wireless internet solution available across all Humber campuses (but not Guelph-Humber) for use by Humber and Guelph-Humber students, employees, and suppliers.

In order to use the secure network, you will need to log on with your Humber username and password. You can have multiple devices attached to the wifi simultaneously.

Our campus coverage is quite extensive, but please DO report any on-campus location with poor WiFi coverage. Reporting dead zones helps us improve services. You can let us know by email, phone, in-person, or by chat.

If you need help getting set up on myWi-fi@Humber, refer to the Quick Reference Guide.

Today marks the first anniversary of the Real Estate Salesperson Program. Through e-learning and Simulation Sessions, Humber delivers the program on behalf of the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) and in partnership with NIIT Canada. Congratulations to the entire Humber Real Estate Education Program team, and a special thank you to Miguel Lameiro, associate dean, and Paula MacDougall, operations manager, for their leadership. Thanks to all program staff for your hard work and support in launching and growing this monumental program.

There is much to celebrate. Together, we have achieved hiring the operations team from scratch; opening the Education & Training Solutions building; delivering the program across Ontario and transitioning in-person program elements to virtual delivery, ensuring learners are able to continue their studies during the pandemic. To date, learners have completed more than 15,000 exams with a pass rate of 75 per cent.

We are also on track for future milestones including the launch of the Post-Registration program in the Fall and the Broker program this coming Winter.

Thank you and congratulations once again.
