We are looking for Humber staff and faculty to facilitate breakout sessions for the upcoming SDGs Launch for students and local youth.

All facilitator mentors are volunteer Humber staff and faculty. You will be invited to a Facilitator Mentor Training Workshop to prepare you for the breakout sessions.

To become a facilitator for the SDGs Launch, you must be available on Tuesday, March 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., and attend the mandatory Facilitator Mentor Training Workshop on March 17 from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. (or commit to watching the training recording before the event date).

We encourage and welcome facilitator mentors from any faculty/department/unit. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and expand your Humber network!

To volunteer as a facilitator mentor, please fill out this short survey by Friday, March 5, 2021.

Prior to our return to campus last fall, the College implemented a broad range of safety measures to keep our staff and students safe and to prevent COVID-19 transmission on our campuses. An outline of the measures taken, including physical distancing, wearing of masks, hand hygiene, cleaning and disinfecting, are summarized in Humber’s COVID-19 Safety Plan snapshot.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be an evolving situation. Our Safety Plan will be regularly reviewed and changes made as needed.

We would like to remind employees that they must complete the COVID-19 Awareness Training for Humber Employees before they physically return to campus, or within the first two weeks of the start of their employment/contract, whichever comes first. The training covers the risks of COVID-19, methods of transmission, on campus safety measures, and more.

The mandatory employee training is available on Blackboard and the general instructions for accessing the training are below. If you do not have access to Blackboard, please contact us at healthandsafety@humber.ca to make alternate arrangements. The training should take approximately one hour to complete.

If you have questions about the training or if you have concerns about health and safety, please contact your manager. Managers may send their list of new employees to healthandsafety@humber.ca to provide them with access to the training.

Employees who have taken the training previously do not have to retake the training; however, they still have access to the course if they wish to review the training.

Please note that the Return to Campus Agreement which was previously emailed to employees through the DocuSign process will no longer be sent to new employees; instead, the Agreement has been incorporated into the current version of the COVID-19 Awareness training.

If you have any questions about the training, please contact your manager or Occupational Health and Safety at healthandsafety@humber.ca.

Humber’s servers stop about 75% of all malicious email from reaching your inbox. But for the 25% or so that sneak in, with a bit of awareness, you can help Humber by flagging them as fraudulent with the Phish Alert Button.
